Where is Lake Tahoe?

Lake Tahoe is located on the border of California and Nevada. Our wedding venue, Palisades Tahoe, is located in North Lake Tahoe in California.

Where is the wedding venue?

Our wedding venue is called High Camp at Palisades Tahoe located at 1960 Olympic Valley Road, Olympic Valley, CA 96146. The venue sits at the top of the Sierra Nevada Mountains overlooking Lake Tahoe. Guests will take a 10 minute Aerial Tram ride from The Village up to the ceremony and reception site. What airport should I fly into?

There are two airports close to Lake Tahoe. Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is about 45 minutes from the venue. Delta, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Unites Airlines, Spirit Air, and Jet Blue Airlines are the main airlines that fly into RNO. Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is about 2 hours from the venue. Delta, American Airlines, and United Airlines are the main airlines that fly into SMF.

Where should I stay?

We recommend staying in The Village at Palisades Tahoe in Olympic Valley, CA for easiest access to the venue. Click here to book lodging through our discount link. What are my transportation options once I arrive?

What is the schedule of events for the weekend?

What is the attire for the wedding?

Semi-formal or cocktail attire is requested.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and our reception will be indoors.

What is the Wedding Day schedule?

The Wedding Day schedule details will become available once invitations are sent out.

What will the weather be like?

During the ceremony and cocktail hour, the weather will be mid 60s to low 70s with some wind. Once the sun sets, it gets a little chilly, so we suggest bringing a light sweater/jacket.

What time do I need to arrive at the wedding?

Can I bring a plus-one?

Please refer to your invitation for details about your plus-one. Invitations have not been sent out yet.

What is the elevation at the venue?

The base elevation of the village is 6200'. The elevation at the venue is 8200'.
